Don't know about anyone else, but I am cold to the bone. Got up this morning and it was a mere 6 degrees....I hugged my coffee mug tight and snuggled as close as possible to the wood stove. Any hints on how to get this chill to go away???

Not all that cold here but all our critters' water buckets were froze solid this morning, even the chicken waterer that has a pail heater... guess it just couldn't keep up. Had to bring hot water from the house to melt 'em up enough to dump 'em and fill 'em. One of those days I'll be carrying water buckets every few hours. Keeps *me* warm, though!

Bambi: gotta get away from that heater, that's the problem...heaters are baaaad. Put on a couple o layers and get yourself moving (you can come carry water buckets for me, if you'd like, and the barn needs muckin' too) and you won't even notice the cold.

y'all take care,

I do find I am warmer when I am mucking the stalls. Maybe its the horse doo, maybe its the horses, but still....this is the coldest winter I have felt in a long time. By the way, the brandy was a nice warmer last night in a hot cup of tea. Slept like a dog!

Ok wise guys, y'all are funny today! I guess I will eventually get used to the cold, if I can get away from the woodstove. Above 20 I can handle, but below that gets a bit much. And they are saying in New England it will/maybe get colder next week. EEEKKK, where's my condo in the tropics when I need one?? I guess my honey will have to do as my warmer. Have a great day!

If your better half is anything like mine, if you prop enough windows open, it'll save on that air conditioner Salmoneye! and still hog the blankets.

BTW, could somebody remind me? By this time of year i've forgot what degrees are for - mosquitoes i think :)
