American Agriculturist

When I was growing up, every little farm had one of those American Agriculturist "license" plates up on the house or the barn somewhere. I remember reading the magazine, especially the "Song of the Lazy Farmer" and "Ada the Ayrshire". I sure would like to have one of those plates. Does anybody know if they are still available?
BTW, all the little farms around here are no more. Sad.

Les, There's one hanging on the barn that dad sold, I know the Long Island folks that bought it don't want it. If it's still there I will procure it for you and let you know tomorrow.
Later
Ron

I remember em...

In fact...I think I have one around here somewhere...I know my Sister has one on her toolshed...Faces north and isn't faded much at all...

I'll look and see if I have one...You want me to take a pic of my Sisters?...

Sure, I'd like to see one in good shape. I saw one on a house a while ago that was nothing but rust. If I didn't already know what it was, I'da hadda do a "rubbing" on it like they do on the old gravestones.
I sure would like to get my hands on one, even if it's a repro.

I wrote to take a pic here on a postit note and slapped it on the screen so I will see it ;-)

I did a quick look on eBay...there are none right now but one went less than a month ago for $7!!!

Wish I had known...never thought of looking em up though...

I remember the Song of the Lazy Farmer from Michigan Farmer magazine. Never have seen the plates you're talking about.
