I am looking for an Antique Pefection Kerosene Heater from around the year 1919. I can't seem to find one anywhere in my area College Park, Maryland. Could anyone tell where I could buy one or any information on where to look for one? I can send a picture if needed

I have a kerosene stove called New Perfection 73. The patents indicated on it are ~ 1904. I am looking into firing it up but don't know how the wicks work. It appears hardly used, but wicks seem stuck so I am soaking in kerosene to see if that loosens them. I can send a photo in a few weeks if you are interested. It is up in my mountain cabin.

Ebay lists them and there's many types and styles. Up where I am in Maryland (near Frederick) many estate sales have at least one, and most of the antique stores carry them. If you buy one and want to try to use it, email me and I'll send you some of the information about them I've collected.

good luck,
Tom A
