Do we have any people here from Virginia? If we do, what part of Virginia?

Powhatan County, right on the James River. Grew up here, and kept coming back; now I'm back to stay. Live with my elderly father on the family farm, so he's got someone here to help him out. He's almost 84, and still raising cattle and hay.

We lived for 10 years at Chincoteague, VA, an island off the coast of the Delmarva Peninsula. It was a great time to live there----before growth took over from the natives. My heart is still there (and many friends too). I sure miss it! Virginia is a great state. Oh, gee, now you've got me homesick.

Hello Joan,
We split our time between Campbell County and Arlington. My folks are in a nursing home and retirement apt. in Burke. Where are you located?
Mike

Don't post often but lurk every day. I'm in S.E. Va. about 6 miles from the N.C. state line. 7.5 acres of ragweed and mudholes.

I work in VA (in Fairfax, just outside the DC beltway) but live in western MD.

I live in NC but do some hunting in Va up around Halifax Co. Va. Close to a little town called Milton that is in NC.

My son was born in the U.S. Naval Hospital, Quantico.
So the answer for me is, "no".

Hey Joan, Im in NC, but used to do a lot of shopping in Lightfoot and the Pottery factory. Is it still there? They have this Williamsburg pottery that I love to buy there.

Mathews County, population still under 10,000 and not a single stop light! Ever heard of it? It's in the Middle Peninsula area. Are you in Virginia too?

Thanks all, I have lived in Virginia all my life, glad to see I am not alone. Yes, the pottery shop is still here and a lot more stores built every year. Debbie, I know where your county is. My hubby works for Va Power and he use to work in that area. We live up near Tappahanock. Take care all....
