Chicken (chicks) age differences

I've raised chicks in the past but always in the same age group. My question is can I put chicks together that are 4 weeks apart in age? There is a big difference in size and I'm not sure if the smaller ones would be safe. At what age can the chicks go into the same coop as adult birds?

I agree. Separate until they can hold their own. Then introduce them slowly if you can---like an hour before bedtime, then more if all goes well.

I'm with Okie Dokie. Those little ones aren't going to have a chance in the pecking order. Wait until they're all growed up if you can.

Not an expert, but we do hatch and raise our own birds. We would never put chicks with that much of an age differance togather.
