Popcorn Seed

Anyone have a source for about 10 LBS. of popcorn seed? I'd like to try to plant about 1/2 acre just for the heck of it. Any other popcorn advice also appreciated.

Thanks,

Terry H

My dad always got his from MFA. Have you checked there? That was a long time ago, but I'll have to say that was the best popcorn this popcorn lover ever ate. It had a very sweet natural taste, didn't even need butter, but it could have been his natural fertilizer, you think?

I (sh)udder to think about the taste imparted to the popcorn from the natural fertilizer! Alas, no MFA affiliates here in Nebraska. Looks like I'll have to check the mail order places.

Thanks,

Terry H

Schumway's sells a few different popcorn varieties by mail order in sizes from packets to 50 lb sacks.

25# bags are less than $10 at AgWay here...

Thanks for the advice...Unfortunatly, never heard of AgWay here in S.E. Nebraska.

Salmoneye, are the Agway stores still open in your area?
Seems like the chapter 11, hit them hard around here, only the independently owned stores are still going.

Had not paid attention to their chapter 11 status...The store down the road from Dad is still open though...
