Was reading the "Stuck" posts.Saw you had a FC-170.Found one sitting near by.Farmer's son backed over a stump, and ventilated the fuel tank.10 years ago.Truck has a dump bed,and a snow plow on front. He want's $150 for any part,or $100 for the whole thing.Got the wheels turning in my head.Have since looked, and seems to be a fair number of these, and parts for them floating around. How'd you like yours? Gas or diesel? 3 or 4 speed?Anything to look for? Thanks.I think I'm fixing to do something stupid.Again.Dave

Bought mine new in 59. Had the flat head Continental 6 cyl, 3 spd w/high & low range 4WD. 9 ft box, and all the goodies.

The only problem I ever had was if you didn't check the distributor every so often it would jump time. Which brings a story to mind about the time we, Al & I, were going out on a spring bear hunt. Mostly cause wee knew where a Cinnamon bear was. That's a coloration that is rare in black bears. Something to do with the genetics.
