Wondered if anyone took notice of the moon rising
tonight? It is unusually shaped and if anyone
knew why? I don't believe I have ever seen it
appear shaped that way before.

it's a waning moon (just after the full), or called a 3/4 moon. it does seem to be especially bright but i presume that means the dust from the drought has been taken out of the atmosphere by the recent storm that swept across the country (notice how orange it was early on? usually seen in august at the driest time). the birds were singing well this morning and the cattle are rubbing against the fences to rid themselves of fur, so maybe spring is just around the corner! but i bet there's still one more surprise coming. just in time for the early spring calves. just my luck.
