I was very late getting my garden in this year. In fact I only just planted a wee bit of stuff in a raised bed. What would you still try? I'd like zucchini. We're zone 5 or maybe a tad cooler because were rural.

Beans! Definitely green or yellow beans. How about some beets. They might not have time to get very big but baby beets and beet tops are the BEST!

Have you been having a hot summer? Other short season vegetables that require cool weather are radishes, lettuce and spinach.

Zucchini is worth the try. Then again if you have neighbors or friends growing it, you might not have to grow any.

Good luck!

zukes would probably make it, i am thinkin bout tryin a second crop of peas, depends how much hot weather we get. spinach would be good if u can get some good shade, if u could find some seedlins, brocoli might do okay, depends on the heat, most quick crops seem to like it cool. but hey, seeds are cheap, at least it would be fun, even if u dont get good results
