Here is something that many of you may be interested in.
Do any of you have or use Kefir grains?

Is this a product a person can buy from a health food store? Since it is a feel good product and contains a percentage of alcohol is it suitable for children?

Cindi, It is (I don't know what to call it) But it is probiotoc like yogurt, and really good for you.

It makes the best buttermilk you ever tasted. I can't wait until I get my goats and make it with fresh milk.
Also I put some of the grains in grape juice and it makes it taste like wine.
The above link will tell you where you can get the grains. Most will give them to you for the postage. I think I paid $5.

Also read on Dom's materail about Kombacha tea. I had some once before, but quit making it. I just now contacted a lady about getting another start.

If you're children will drink butermilk, it would be great for them.

Am trying to get a kombacha mushroom for a young girl of 23 with cervical and lung cancer...I've grown them in the past but can't seem to get past the commericialism with most people...is there anyone out there willing to charge me the least amount to help her out?
We are in Washington State.
