here....I have to say that I miss seasons. I remember in Texas when the leaves would turn and fall off the trees. Here we have pines and palms and a few white oaks. It never gets cold enough long enough to kill all the bugs, fleas etc. I just learned that a mosquito lays eggs in the grass and the first good rain with the right air temp, they hatch and start up the new season. Which explains why I'm sitting here the first day of March battling a dang mosquito biting my legs under the desk. Just once I would like to be somewhere else for a year and watch the seasons change.

Spent lots of time in Texas on my motorcycle trips across country. I remember the first time I saw the mile marker on Route 10 in east Texas, something like number 856. That many miles gets us through 10 states here! And South Padre Island, a very good time. Have a good night.

Lol! Two things I miss desperatley. Leaves, and rocks. I know it sounds dumb to miss rocks, but here we have shells and sand, and this nasty black sandy type dirt. There are a few rocks down deep, like they get them out at the mines, but all the differnt types like, what is it, fools gold...pyrite, or quartz, river rocks. Forget it. I miss rocks.

Just to give you an idea, we have a little wet weather creek in the back of the property. Not the first rock. What's a creek without rocks. No place for crawdads to hide, and we do have crawdads. It just aint natural to have a creek with no rocks in it. It's all sand and moss, blech.

I think the only thing that toped itin the era was 'All in the Family. Look at Archie BUnker back them you're looking at my father in law. Looks the same sounds the same. The best t v ever though has to be Andy Griffith, The Rifleman, a couple others. Well, I'm off to bed, thanks for your e mail and hope to see you tomorrow.
