I thought we were foolish in NH for spending an
extra $10 million to move an airport access road because a pair of eagles decided to nest in the vicinity. But the situation out in Oregon where the fish get preference over farmers and farm land really takes the cake. Let's show those folks our support and let the sucker fish go to blazes.
First post for me on this forum. Hope this is the right place for it.

This is a good spot for that post. Another good spot is your Congressman's and Senator's in-boxes.

Re writing Your rep, E-mail will be read by the staff, typewritten will at least be scaned but a hand written that is readable will stand a real good chance of being read by the office holder. As to form letters, cards etc, save your tax money by trashin em at home rather than paying the state or DC people to......Often as not letters are forwarded to Your district rep without opening so unless You have a lot of time and like to write concentrate Your efforts on the people representing YOU.. Remaember I am one of those crooked polytishuns. This has been cussed and discussed many times and what I have given You is how most folks run their office.
You write a hundred senators with a gripe and mabe get a form letter back from the office sec's asst to the asst. You hand write a hundred to your rep and he'll probable come to Your house.

I have had pretty good luck with e-mail to my state representative, but I agree about your US Congressmen. E-mail if you need to, as it is immediately delivered, but follow up with a neatly typewritten (because my handwriting is awful) letter. Stick to one subject and include the bill number if possible. Thanks, Hogman.

I too think that we should preserve our wildlife and natural resources, BUT some of these tree huggers go a little too far and we need to put a stop to them!!!!
