The car is warming up right now so that we can go and exercise our rights as citizens of the 14th state to join the union...

Long Live The Republic Of Vermont...

Welcome to progressville...

This STOOPID town also went and made Constable an APPOINTED position...

Who do I complain to about that???

We've had lots of "progress" around here, too. We will vote next Tuesday (for selectmen, town clerk, school board, etc.) but the "deliberative" portion of town meeting is now held on Saturday. I don't like that. We never had any trouble getting our business done on a Tuesday evening before. Not many people go to town or school meetings anymore. I know my interest has waned considerably in the past 10 or 15 years.
We still vote for road agent but I can see that ending before long.
Haven't voted for police for at least 20 years.

Did my duty before work this morning.

Coulda hung out all day solving the worlds problems with the rest of the towns no-it-alls.

Filled in on my buddies dart team last night. Played at the VFW in Swanton. Got to talking about politics and Vermont. At one point we raised our glasses to Ethan, Ira, and Seth...

Stood around for a while and chatted the merits of killing every Coyote you see, and the fact that sap is gonna come hard and fast...

Have not sat all day since my Gram died in 86...Don't think I have missed much...Not like anything I could say will stop the New Comers from voting in whatever they want me to pay for...The odds have been 2:1 against the Natives for more than a decade...

Nice not to hear the train horn every hour though...Can we have that $25,00,000 back now?

"Can we have that $25,00,000 back now?"

I hope so.

We're gonna need it to build that damn bike bridge across the mouth of the Winooski.

Can I shoot ducks from there?

I am willing to chip in $10 if I can...

Did you start warming the car up last night 'cause it's a tad chilly out there this morning? Record cold down here at 2 degrees.
