Norton Systems spam and what to do
[Return to Topics]

If anyone else has been getting spam email selling Norton Systems virus software knockoffs, don't just delete them! Forward them to:

Symantec is the company that most people subscribe to Norton Virus Scan through and they have set up this "spam watch" to try and track down and stop the senders. They send a note telling you if the offer was legit or not; also, they are trying to find people who have actually bought the product offered in these emails.

Just thought it was worth mentioning as there are a lot of folks here on-line everyday; you must be getting as much spam as I am!

Thanks for the info, Kat! I just deleted two such offers but I can recover recently deleted mail and will do that. I've been getting tons of spam lately, but I just delete without even opening to read the mail if it looks like spam. Been getting a lot of spam with file attachments, too. They are sure wasting their time here.
