I like jello, and thought we had usual flavors (my best is strawberry - and all the puddings) but somebody told me they send different stuff to different places, like i guess in Puerto Rico they use lotsa banana and down south they use watermelon. Are they pulling my leg or is there something to that?
And i had a brainstorm - got to thinking i wish Life Savers made jello - anybody ever dissolve Life Savers in jello to boost the flavor?

There are a wide variety of jello options available in different locations. For those wishing to make thier own special flovors you can buy unflovored gelotin at the grocery in the baking isle and add what ever juice, sports drink, poweraid, monster, V8 ect to dissolve it for what ever flovor you wish. Also in the 50's there was a rash of jello cook books that had entire meals of jello, yes even meat dishes. try looking one up for a real experiment :) also try kraft foods web site they have an entire listing of flavors that jello makes.

I personally like cherry and grape Jello. the mint is nasty, and I've never tried Bananna or orange!

The gubbimint bought up all a them oddball flavors. I spent 15 days in the VA Hospital at one stretch once, and we had LIME flavored (that Green stuff) 10 of those days for lunch.

I finally told that kitchen laborer that if they brought it one more time, she was gonna wear it back to the kitchen.

I'll tell ya you can put 7-up,gingerale even sprite in jello. Also try putting kool aid in it.This way you can blend the different flavors together.Try it out.Make up your own blend.Trial and error but worth it.

yes they make banana and other flavors yoy might not see when i lived up north i worked with a couple of puerto rican ladies who shopped in the neighborhood market so the man carried lots of spanish products and whenever i got a recipe i usuasslly had to have them pick up some ingredient i could find in the supermarket. yes you can disolve the life savers in the boiling water and add it to the jello but it does sweeten it even more. try the tropical fruit in and berry flavor good luck
