Been a long time since i tried squirrel - we cousins used to bring our 22s every Fall to Uncle Link's oak woodlot and pop grey squirrels all day, while my aunt & the womenfolks cooked them up & canned them. Somehow the population would recover every year. Best i can recall, they'd get about 30 pints so it was worth it. A pint was just right for supper & the juice DID make good gravy :)
