I think I mentioned here before about the possums that have adopted us. Things started getting out of hand recently, as at least one is claiming 'squatter's rights' to the cats' house. We're taking steps. The story continues at:

Have you named him yet? If he comes back, i'd call him Christopher cuz he's such an explorer - course then i named our local crane Ichabod so i don't look far for names - Ichabod got so spoiled he'd prance around the dock & scold me if i forgot to bring him back a perch when i's taken the boat out :)

William,

Don't be surprised if he makes a return visit! Five miles isn't very far--he may be back in a few days. They're like homing pigeons.

Good luck!

Ron

Well, where I took him is a couple miles the other side of Highway 601. Driving down that road you'd swear no possum had ever made it across.
