I am looking for parts for a 1981 Stihl 08 S chainsaw. I have been told that these parts aren't made anymore but I don't wont to give up so easily on my saw. I live in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho and hope that somebody out there might know where some parts are or any one with old saws willing to part out the parts I am looking for. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply Mark. The specific part i need is the plastic cog wheel that fits inside the flywheel that your pull string catches. the part number of off the flywheel is 9 1107 086 0500 f (I think it is an f). I will try and attach two photos. One with the cog wheel out of the flywheel and the other picture shows the cog wheel partly in place. (It doesn't appear I can attache the photos. My email is If these pictures would help email me and I can send them. I appreciate the time in checking on this. If you by chance have the part I would be very happy to purchase it.

Thanks Randall
