Have been trying to refinance in Southern PA., but can't find any local office willing to help due to having 72 acres. The problem being they can not sell the loan to another bank and in house loans seem to be higher. What now? thanks, Dave

We got the same problem . Paying 8% where a guy
with just a house can get one for 5 0r 6 % .
Fani mae doesn't buy loans on farms .so your local bank keeps them at higher interest .

We've had the same problem. We've tried several times, but they are not interested in our land, only our old house.

Have you tried your local Farm Credit Service, The Federal Land Bank makes those type of loans but you have to have 25% Equity.
