Man, we're in HOG HEAVEN! My wife went out yesterday and found another 5 lbs. of Morel mushrooms! These were the biggest yet--one measured 6-1/2" tall!! This is in addition to a total of about 7 lbs. already found! It's a really good year for them here (W.C. IL)! We made a mushroom bisque from a pound of them Sunday--yum, yum! We've just about burned ourselves out eating them rolled in egg and cracker crumbs and fried. They'll not be around much longer, though--the weeds and the poison ivy are really coming on strong.

Thanks for the reminder Ron - they should start popping up around here (Mn) if it warms up after the rain we're getting. They sure like little clearings in lowland popple thickets :)

Hey Ron

Great to hear that!

Another thing for me to be happy about the place where I was born, IL. The mushroom bisque sounds really delicious. And you can spread it on anything? Guess I would like it also..

Take Care
