I'm sure you all are sick of all the questions about my muscovey but I have one more. Her 2 ducklings have hatched and I know that the remainder of her eggs are infertile. Can I just remove them from the nest? She is still sitting on them and they are turning dark. Her babies are cute and healthy and quite active.
Thanks for the advice!
Kerri

Hi Kerri:

I'd just snag them out of there pretty soon, if you are sure they aren't going to hatch. I'm always afraid they'll "pop" if they go long enough and put the mom off of brooding forever. Probably a stupid fear, but hey, that's what I think!

good luck,
tom
