We had cold blowing rain all weekend. One boy with a sore throat and sniffles, his little brother with wonderlust. There were 8 sticks of seasoned wild cherry left in the basement by the heater. We kept the stove glowing. Little brother cruised around the house, big brother (3) hung out by the tube watching videos. Warmer weather is sure to set in now as we burned the last stick of wood in the place. Hope ya'll are setting your sights on a long spell of warm, and none of us need to worry 'bout keeping the fires burning for a while.

I want the chill!!! Got up to 97F here today. It's only May and I'm going out to work in the garden at 6AM just to beat the heat!

I just don't do summer very well...:(

I'm **ready**! The little teaser week of warm sunny weather in early May got me started, and the cool rainy days we've had since have made it worse. I worked on the new baler in the rain the other day cuz I just *had* to be outside...wife thinks I'm crazy. I had almost packed up the kero heaters, but am glad I didn't since I'm using one in the early am to take the chill off.

Lat fire was about 3-weeks ago. House picks up good sun load.
Not sure why it can get 35-40F out & house will hold to 68F in the early AM. Sun comes up, 'bingo' 74F by noon.
