I upload the picture to my own site, and then put the image url like Deadcarp said. Some sites will let you attach an image to a post, but then they have to store it on their server. Since this site archives most of the forums, it would take an awful lot of space for all the images. This way they only have to store the link.
On the other hand, if I delete the photo from my site, or if my server is down when you look at the post, then you won't get the picture. Get the picture?

Well the picture has to be online first, not in your computer. What i do is load it into the Photo Gallery (see list on the left) then it's online and has a URL (web address) to copy into the message. Or you could upload it into a file on your website if you have an FTP program ad stuff.
Once a picture is online, if your click your right mouse button over it, the URL is that http:// gobblety gook under Properties.

thanks,    Posted 05-20-2003 at 10:10:36       [Reply]  [No Email]
I thought it was a quicker way to put up a pic, avoiding the upload to the web. Oh well, ignorance is bliss!!
