I have a book of prayers that was given to me by my grandmother years ago, copyright 1911 and was looking through it and came across this prayer for today and wanted to share with everyone here. O God,we thank thee that Thou hast preserved us a nation with liberty and justice.Help us this day to honor the men who fought and died for our union.May we realize how nearly the spirit of patriotism is to Thine own great Heart, and may we serve Thee the better for the memories of to-day.Amen. Hope you all dont mind me shareing this.

That was nice, always nice to know others who are mindful of the Lord. I start everyday by thanking The Lord for keeping me through the night and giving me another day.

Thanks, Earl

I have the Little Bible that they gave my Father to take into battle in WWI and it has a few in the front for the soldier to read in times of need. Mark H.
