I looked into used fry oil for fuel and it only saves a few cents nowdays plus you gotta wash it and heat it and mix it. Course if you make your own methanol you need permits and have an explosive shed. Good hobby i guess if you have lotsa barrels and time. Kinda like burning used oil in a furnace - sure okay, but remember you'll need to cart home & handle 5 or 10 gallons a day this winter. Want to deal with that mess every day? :)
