I have a potential problem.......

I have to mow about 3-4 acres of grass every weekend here, it takes about 3-4 hours with all the trimming and little odds and ends.
Now heres the problem, my wife is starting to suspect that I enjoy doing it. AND she is starting to not count cutting grass as a chore to do around the house.

How can I get her to realize how awful and hard it is to ride around on a nice sunny day all by myself on the tractor with nobody to bother me, in my own little piece of heaven ??????
I don't want to to really think I enjoy doing things like that.

Find a nice shady spot away from the house and start having lunch there - then one day casually mention that some lady from town brought you a apple, and let the wife mow if she insists. Them wimmenfolks don't take kindly to anyone else feeding their stock! lol

Tell her to do it, then it will count. Myself, I really like cutting grass.

Threaten to reduce the size of the lawn! When we were putting our place up, I figured a very small lawn, with some alfalfa between the end of the lawn and the road. She kept bugging and bugging about a lawn all the way to the road, I kept refusing, finally she said that If I got her the mower she wanted, and let her size the lawn, that I'd never have to mow lawn again,,, I did, and she does!!

Boss, you do have a problem!!
You have to practice slumping your shoulders and sighing a lot.
You need to say things like:
"Gosh darn, it needs mowing again!"
"This work never seems to get done".
"Sure is hard on my back (as you reach behind you and stretch while moaning)"
"Oh well, I better get started..."
Then sort of drag your feet as you go out."
If you keep running out there with a big smile on your face, whistling; you'll never convince her. :-)

Take this pattern.Send it to China to have it molded into a mask. Then slip it over your head at mowing time.
