Have any of you done well selling those new found treasures on Ebay? Just curious. I like to read of the success of others. Keeps me going.

I have been collecting road finds for about ten years now, thanks to my nonexistint driving skills I peddled on my bicycle all the time . Finding usable items and not so usable items ,so a few years ago I decided to open my very own road find museum.I have not established it yet ,In fact Iam still cataloging my many artifacts.Artifacts such as A35 mm camera ,video recorder ,.those are the coolest ones so far .All of my artifacts have A story behind them, and it is fun to collect them, you never know when you are goig to find your next one.bye for now

I used to sell quite a lot of things, I always made a profit but I only resell the clothes the kids outgrow now because my house was being overun by ebay items.

Have to support myself at times in the winter with buying and selling. Go to auctions and then sell on Ebay or other auctions. The best I did was buy some mission chairs for $110 and sold them for $1100. The same night I bought a bunch of camera stuff to use to take pictures for Ebay. It was professional stuff and sold that for $300 for a tripod and $280 for some lights. Bought it all for $5.
Also a few years ago I cleaned out 2 houses. 1 was a famous editor from the 50s the other an artist. Got tons of books, lots of them signed. My ex has lived off them for 3 or 4 years. Think we must've gotten $10,000 plus for all the stuff that I got paid to take away.

I sold a ford flathead sleeve remover/installer set for 320 bucks, it was a freebie.

I 'fuss' around on eBay. Ran into a bounch of old ham & audio tubes. Pulled $5K from them. I noticed older items can sell quite well.

I made $200 from parts off of my old 1971 Wards garden tractor (not running).

I found a radio for $200 & sold it for $700.

Engine is stripped and ready to come out this week...Going to turn it over, pull the pan and have a look see...I just HAD to start it...Only sounds like one rod knocking a bit and then only above 1000 RPM...Hoping we can redo that bearing and dress the crank...If not, I have found a rebuilt for $850 delivered...

We'll see...
