You know you've lived on a hill too long when what looks like a level spot for your pool turns out to have over a 1.5 foot drop over 18 feet.

There ain't a level spot on my place. Just when you think you have a building site level the transit tells you one end is high or low!! Nice part is that it drains great! Mark H.

Oh,,You may be more fortunate than you realize..Every time I have bought land ,everything drained into mine. I get tired of bullfrog suppers every night. You go look around the old town sites of the old days up by the old courthouses. The most powerful guy of the town lived in the big white house on the hill.He wasted little on drainage.Everything runs downhill from his house. You lucky person!

Yep, you know what they say about "stuff" running downhill.

Re:"If you stay down in the valley nobody will wana fight with you." Hey that's it clod! stunning, profound and politically sound :)

First thing in the morning, i suggest we all start digging great big holes. If everybody votes for me, i'm elected and get the support of the Republicrats, i promise that in the very near future, the whole US will go downhill - heh heh

I was thinking Dead Carp...We may be ahead of the rest who climbed upon the high ground..The country is in the hole by 4 trillion and we are here already. We may have struck gold just by not being up there.
