11:45 am:
Well, my cats are hangin' out at the front of
the house today. They did this in May 1995. And I
did not feel well at 8:30 a.m. I told the kids
after hollerin' at them, I was sorry, but would
feel better when the tornado passes through
tonight. (Was in the forecast by the meterologist
the night before).
Well, that evening close to supper time, two
tornadoes came through our area, our place was
next in line for the two funnel clouds. However,
we were in the eye of the storm, absolute calm,
silent, no wind, hail or rain. A mile to the south/SE it demolished a home, (The old man wasn't home). A mile to our
west, the family had water damage (rain?)and
broken windows.)
The two fronts/funnels merged and lifted west
of our place and headed NE. Town spared, too.
Well, the humorous part was we were all prayin'
under the stair well, 6 of us, my husband and I
didn't completely fit, so we put our hands over
our heads.
One of the kids asked, "Dad, what do you do when
a tornado comes?" He said "You cover your head
and kiss your @#$ goodbye!" I knew when he
said that, it was to strike at any second, and he
knew more than us--as he had to watch the funnel
way too long as far as I was concerned. (He never
spoke to the kids--any foul words, either.)
I kept hollerin' "get down here!"
I came through it all pretty calm, until the
next day. You see, I didn't know there were 2
tornadoes. When I went to town, my neighbor lady 4 miles to the NE told me there were two. "I said TWO?" I went home
immediately and took 500mg Tylenol and went to
bed for 48 hours!
So after observing my cats this am, will catch
the noon forecast for today. I am feeling well,
so maybe if something's brewing, it will go
somewhere else this time!

We have two indoor cats & a semi wild stray that lives outside (our barn cat). None of our cats seems to give a hoot about anything.

No wonder the weather has been so bad this year in the East, that's all my cats do is sit around!

On a serious note, I pray the only thing brewing out your way is the coffee! ;-)

Have you ever made a consideration that the cats may be lureing in tornadoes?

My cat "TC" (Top Cat) does that a lot.
Not lure tornadoes, but just lays around.
...or as Clod says "Him a lay in" where ever he wants. :-)
