go to tools then internet options. delete your temporary internet files and cookies. Clearing the history isn't a bad idea either.

goto a command prompt while connected to the internet and type in "ping" or "ping" you should get the ip address of this site or for you should get you should also get 4 replys back from the site. If no IP address is returned or no replys then do the pings with the or 245 number instead of the you should get replys then. if not and you are not behind a firewall/router its your ISP's problem.

IF you do not get an IP address from "ping" or the other chances are either your DNS settings are wrong on you internet connection or the DNS server at your ISP is down/damaged.

Gosh this stuff is a long post.

He says its a shamed im scared of a 10 pound chunck of plastic when i work on a 50 000 pound dozer.

still a basic communication test-as long as it's not blocked at router or firewall

I won't hire anyone who can't ping

I like the old stickshift computers. You can go through the gears and fit it to the load or hill in the front of you.

Yeah i I ran a 750 and 850 Deere a few times and that got me cured of a hydrostatic dozer and the later computer controled hydrstatic. I like my D5B at work easy to maintain and operate. Theres a Leibherr dozer here a run for a friend and its nice even though its a hydrostatic. He had problems with its puter from working in rock and the vibraiton. I can handle a puter on a new machine just not a PC lol. I had an oldermechanic freind that was helping me put in radios for a company i worked with and on my 300 Komatsu he drilloed a panel without checkeng behind it and little peices of green board wht solders spots came out and my machine shut off. I had a dealer fix that looked expensive.

I missed you down here Lambert. That strange name for a Dozer up there>> Leibherr dozer << I never heard of those.. Looks like a German name to me..I like the 65 PX Kamatsu..Wide track..It has a Mercedes engine.I ran one a year ago on a job..I didnt like the Japaneese dozer before but this one do like better than the Cat.I dont know much on those computers in the machines but they wont let us jump the things off with jumpers any more because they say it will cause problems.I need to study those Diesel computers so I can work on them if I need an extra job.

CLod you guessed it Liebherr is german, they make a darling crane, Dad used to run a Liehberr excavator for a construction company here, it was fairly new but didnt have a swing brake like a Cat or Komatsu. It did have on on a thumb switch and it it was used to hold it whilst walking it or laying pipe. It didnt last longe using it to stop the swing. They make a nice rear engine Hydrostatic loader like a 943 Cat In fact Deere uses it for their 744 loader and 2 or 3 of there new dozers are Liebherr. I have a neighbor with a rubber tired excavator made by them with a huge Deutz air cooled deisel. My brother is a Komatsu man Im partial to them myself well i like all the yellow iron, even some green iron.
Go to on there English page then look through his site its great old foreing machinery like we ve never seen Scrape dozers and all. Has a well maintianed site and alot of history.
