I have a Dodge van full of tools because I like things handy and in order when I go to fix something. So I have a hvy duty file cabinet bolted in to hold tools in fishing lure boxes..Pluse shelves to hold bigger fisning lure Or hardware boxes. These are made of some real strong plastic that wont break. The smaller. No mid sized one look kinda like this picture. All my combinations in one. Then ratchet set in another.Everything can be pulled out fast and find the exact tool. There are bigger boxes in shelves but made of the same kind of plastic.I dont use my regular tool boxes anymore now. This works beter Except I drilled hardwood to bolt on side doors to stick screwdrivers in to be handy.I hate to work if I spend more time looking for tools than the job takes to do . You may try this way if you do use tools.

I got a box like that fulla washers and another full o' bolts and another full o' nuts. Sorted roughly by size in the partitions in the box. Been mighty handy since I figured that out.
I'm thinking I gotta get two more boxes for nuts and bolts since my snowmobiles are all metric and it'd be nice to have them separate.

Hey,,Ludwig..I think you are OK..Just keep on saying whatever you got on your mind.I used to live in a big city.Rode the subway..I know how it is there.Like DC..A sheet of plywood will cover all the grass in the yard so you wont have to mow.The city does have some advantages.A great place to hunt squirrels with a BB gun too.

Now that is a cool idea. I never thought of it. I am so tired of hunting on a box for the 13mm six point socket.

If you wander around the big hardware stores you can find all kinds of those boxes cheap. They are gasoline proof and very durable.
