Hi All,

My water softenr just recently stopped functioning as designed. The brine solution tank is full of water. I assume that when regeneration happens the salt brine isnt being sucked up. How do i fix this? Anyone ever have this problem? Is there a good website that explains how to fix these things. I would like to fix it myself as i can afford to call a repair person right now.

You're right, the brine tank is supposed to sit around and dissolve salt pellets until the water is salt-saturated, then during each recharge, the brine is used to clean off the minerals in the other tank (the one that looks like a bomb). You could have a faulty pump or something serious, but start with the simple things. Might be as simple as a clogged plastic hose or something.
Here's a pretty good link --
