I tend to avoid most things that the hogs won't even eat. (I was thinking of Sea J's post down below.) Never could see the appeal of peppers and "hot" foods. If the hogs don't eat them, they have pretty good judgment, to my way of thinking.
Now one exception would be onions. I never met an onion that I didn't like.

I've always heard hot spicy stuff is good for the colon. Keeps those nasty polyps from forming. Guess it burns them away on the way out! LOL! Guess I don't have to worry, nothing like a batch of Mo Joes extra hot wings for me, mmmmmmm..

Made me think of the guy with the 25 year old jelly. Sure would like to know how he's feeling.

Onions are very good for you. packed full of zinc, nature's own antibiotic. Peppers are purported to be also very healthy, but you couldn't tell it by me. The only way I'll eat them is when they're cooked beyond any recognition. Just to flavor a bit. One of my favorite foods, chillies rellenos.

I'm with you on the chile rellenos - that used to be my favorite lunch-truck burrito - i think the filling is mostly baked cheese and eggs with a little pepper - and of course chorizo and egg - can't get chorizo here either. Those hot peppers cured my gizzard problems coupla years ago - still have a few drops of jalapeno sauce every week - well hey, i'm still here. :)
