I wouldn't really get angry about this. Perhaps
there is just something about his family she
gets/receives there she doesn't feel she gets at
home. I remember being a teen and you sort of
latch on to families, where you fit in, a need is filled. The most important thing is communcication and try not to be controlling.
(I always made mine do their own laundry, and
even today if they still live at home, it's theirs to do and put away. I won't do it.)
They have to come home for something that way.
There's nothing wrong with telling your daughter
you miss her, either! She may not even realize
it!
Now, if you feel she's rebelling, I never thought there was much I could do about
rebelliousness except keep that communication open no matter what happens.

This really hurts my feelings. I'm sitting here crying about this. We used to be such good freinds until this boy came along. I know I have to let her go eventually, but do I have to be made to feel like someone less worthy of her time in the process. I'm very happy that she found Paul but I also need to have her around some too.

"feel like someone less worthy"
Time to feel better about yourself. Go look in the mirror and be grateful you're not seeing a balding, 225 pound, dreadlocked, full bearded guy looking back at you. Feel better already, don't you!?

I have found kids usully pick their own friends.
Parents are parents; you get them at birth.
You dont get to choose them.
It is not always good to be your child's "friend".
Friends come and go; parents are there to the end.
My daughter had friends and she thought their parents were so cool.
I heard many times, "Why cant you be more like Mrs.X??"
Well eventually new friends came and Mrs. X was history.
I am still Mom and we are closer than ever;
but I am still her Mom not her friend.

We came up with a tentative schedule for home time and 'out' time. It was a lot easier than I anticipated. Here's hoping.
