Mark your choice in order of tolerance. (Nicotine) (booze) (pot) NUMBER 1 means you hate it and cant stand to be around a person who uses it. Maybe 1 A can be that it is no problem for you. 1 B Kind of a concern.Going chase down a barber, Long hair is a 1 for me,Cant sleep if it touches me ears.

Not out to offend anyone, just give ya something to think about: I don't harp on anybody about their bad habits, in my experience those things are just minor symptoms of a much deeper problem. I used to drink, smoke cigarettes and pot and no one came by and convinced me it was wrong, but a man did spend a lot of hours introducing me to Jesus Christ and after I got to know Him I no longer had any desire for anything else. Iv'e got lotsa friends who do a little of all three and I wont harp on them for their habits, cause even if I did and they quit these things they would still be headed to hell. I care about these people way to much to get offended at some bad habit, the habit will dissapear when the spiritual problem is dealt with. ALL right!!!! Y'all can let fly with the preacher jokes if ya want!!!!

yur rating system went over my head:
I am prone to a drink every now and then, don't like/can't stand loud obnoxous drunks, no illegal drugs at all. Don't like the smell of nicotine, but smoke a cigar when off by myself sometimes. Ya gotta respect other folks rights to clean air.

I used to drink beer by the truck load. This caused me trainloads of problems. I was interested in seeing how many complained of cigarette smoke and not booze.I think the booze can cause the most dammage in the least amount of time. But I have friends who drink.I just dont go where they do their drinking.

I smoke, so it's pretty clear where I stand on nocitine, although I have no problem with the new restrictions, I figure it will just get me closer to quitting eventually.

Alcohol in moderation. I don't keep it in the house, if and when I get in the mood for it, I will buy some then to satisfy my current desire and then not again for several months.

Pot is okay for those who want to use it, but I personally know a few folks who seem to have short term memory problems who are regular, daily, users. That may be the way they've been all along, who knows, but it kind of confirms everything I've ever heard about heavy (not social) use.

Cigarettes- they are ok, just not in our house (I do smoke a few a day outside).

Booze is less desirable, a drunk is not wanted at all. I do not have any liquor around, simply do not use it. It is not a sin to have liquor, wine or beer in ones house.

Pot- We associate pot with trouble makers & low lifes plus we do not smoke it. Kind of a shame a lot of persons ruin it for a few that use pot in moderation. Problem is THC in Pot is bad news for the brains' chemistry, so why play with it?

I think playing cards or games, eating food & good company are good entertainment. I know a lot of people smoke Pot around our county.

I figure pot is illegal for a reason.
I have very little tolerance for smokers.
( biggest litterbugs there are)
As for drinking, I personally drink very little. But like it says "enjoy in moderation" Then I have no problem.

Ok Guys...    Posted 07-08-2003 at 11:42:02       [Reply]  [No Email]
Don't y'all go thinking I am a nut, I used to have quite a temper, my Mama called it a Red Headed fit, and my dad has low patience himelf. I guess I mostly go it from my crazy daddy. He could go off on tangents over the smallest things, and the lectures, the belt whoopins, hey, I had to be tough! I used to yell all the time, so says my husband, have anxiety attacks, I used to think those were not real, til I had one standing at the checkout in Walmart right after my daughter dumped her strawberry drink on the floor! I used to go into quite the rage, and with me blowing off steam wasnt what yelling did, thats what I meant by a rolling ball of rage, it would get worse instead of better, I really am on even keel now, so am not ashamed to say it helped me! :) Plus I went into some kind of sleep all th depressed state. Didn't want to be around anybody. I'm cool now, promise!

In my wilder younger days, I loved some Jose Cuervo Gold, still like a nip every now and then, and I used to smoke, mostly only when I was mad or drinking. That was before we started a family. I quit everything when I got pregnant, wouldn't let Shelby near the smokers, which included a set of Grandparents. They learned real quick to take it outside, even if we were at there house visiting. Whiskey always gave me headaches, and sometimes nausea. Beer bloated me too much. Anyway, since I got on Prozac, a good side effect was I didn't have any more of those rolling ball of anger spells, so I didn't need to smoke, and pretty soon, I didn't even want a beer. I feel even and relaxed most all the time, so I guess I was just chemically imbalanced! :)
I do have one thing to say about smoking. It killed my mother in law, who was my best friend, at age 55. She had angioplasty, and it still killed her in her sleep, the tarter in her arteries, she had a clot that broke free and killed her. I would give anything to have her back. I haven't had a cigarette since she died. My father in law quit for a while, but he has a new girlfriend that smokes like a chimney. She couldn't even ride to the restuarant 5 minutes down the road with me cause she couldn't smoke in my truck. Sadly, my Father in law has started back, and I am thinking, HELLO? Isnt this what killed your lifetime love? I keep out of it. He is and adult. Not to mention the smell it leaves in your hair, clothes, furniture, etc. But hey to each his own I guess. Thats my story.

Salmoneye    Posted 07-08-2003 at 11:23:49       [Reply]  [No Email]
But it is 'legal' and her doctor prescribed it...

So it must be OK...

I have some gift certificates for a free visit to Dr Kevorkian. I give them out to people I don't like.

Hard one to give a good answer to? If it dose not affect me or others to each there own. If your going to drink and drive like the guy who killed a 16 year old in a car being drunk, that got me pretty upset. The fire fighter who was drunk and drove our fire truck anyway thinking he was OK till he wrecked it in a fire allmost causing a few more to lose there homes because we lost use of the truck, he got me pretty upset too. The ones who can use their Vices and not affect others don't bother me at all. I guess moderation is the real answer and who you affect doing it other than yourself. Mark H.

I don't have a problem with any of the legal vices for adults, as long as they are used in moderation and a little common sense is applied.
No drinking and driving, no smoking around kids and no chaw at the supper table.

I don't worry too much about what others do, I've got enough to do keeping myself outta trouble......but, I'm with you and that short hair thing...I give my hubby a nice short peach fuzz cut (ex-navy guy) just so I can run my fingers thru it...whewwwww! Anyways, long hair on men is dangers..might get caught up in a tractor part:):)
