I am so happy to meet all of you!! Your lives sound very interesting! We are finally getting rain here and I can hear the plants yelling THANK YOU THANK YOU!! It's been very dry here. How are ya'll doing this growing season?? Has it been very dry in your different areas?? I have been to N. Carolina and Georgia..didn't get to see as much as I would have liked but I loved what I saw. The heat is incredible there. I remember the thing that amazed me is waking up to see the sidewalks SWEATING!! God bless!!

Aprille, what town do you live in? Are you above the notches? I am just below Franconia Notch.

Well heck, I'm a bit further north than you.
I'm glad all my grandchildren will be able to say they remember the Old Man. My youngest is about to turn 6.
That Indian isn't near as impressive as the Old Man was.

It's another rainy day in central Mn - the lake was about 2 feet low this spring, but it's catching up fast now :)

Everything growng fine in N.Carolina since some of the heavy rain backed off!!!! Rainfall year to date here is about 38 inches , usually about half that in normal year.. Hope you get the rain you need and relief from the heat!! Phlatt

Very dry in northern, lower Michigan. Very wet downstate. Cool summer so far here with most nights dropping in the low 50s.

There was an old song, "the April showers that bring May flowers".
Here we had drought in April and May,
then we started getting June showers and showers and SHOWERS!
Now in July we are still having showers but were are also getting July flowers.
The grass was turning brown in April and May.
Now in July it is lush and green!
Sort of opposite of our usual weather but it is OK.
Not sure how the farmers in our area are doing.
I am not complaining,
I just thank God for each new day,
and for being an American living in Texas!
