Here we have a tree that has silvery leaves
often seen growing in ditches or fencelines.
Growth, Shape can be very irregular. I don't think you can buy them, they are just native like the cottonwood, chinese elm, mulberry are here.
It is not a silver maple. They are very striking when the wind catches the leaves.
My neighbor put one in his yard last year, me,
envious of course--he has no clue what it is--
just went over and lifted it from his BIL's.
When they are small they remind you of cottonwood or poplar, but silvery.
