seen a ghost. I'm almost retired and have never seen a ghost, angel, bigfoot or a flying saucer personally, so where are thses things. Write about you experience. Yet, I have been told by very credible people that they have seen things like these. Go figure.

I did see a ghost. Major event, not some 'I think I saw something'. Glad I do not live in that house.

I think I might have shared this story here before, but I have had a true unexplainable experience. A very close friend of mine had kidney failure. He was an older gent, and like a father to me as my own father died when I was 3. When he was ready, he asked the doctors to quit all treatments and let him die with dignity. I got to spend time with him in the hospital before he passed. We hugged and cried and reminissed for hours, until he got too tired and weak to visit anymore. The last thing he said to me was, "if it is at all possible, he would always watch out for me and keep me safe."
A about year later I was on my way to work in the early morning. I lived a 30 minute drive out of town, and I was particularly tired this morning. I was aproaching a tight corner, when suddenly Ed's face appeared in my windshield in front of me. It was so clear, I felt I could have touched him. It shocked me and I reacted by lifting my foot off the gas, and stearing towards the shoulder to pull over. I thought maybe I had dozed off. Just as I pulled over to the right, an oncoming vehicle came flying around the corner, too fast and in my lane. It would have been a fatal head on as there was no where for my car to go. There was a cement wall on my side. I had pulled off just before the wall.
I KNOW I have my own angel!

Dan, I thought I saw a UFO once, but now I believe it was an experimental aircraft from this world. I do know folks who have had a close encounter with a UFO and got severe radiation burns for their trouble. I think that was an experimental govt. aircraft too, and the govt. didn't want to take responsibility. The lady's name was Landrum and is written up in all the UFO pages. She is from our town.

I have never seen anything that looked really solid, but have had "the creeps" in certain places. I think this is leftover emotional imprints and is therefore natural.

My grandparents lived in a house in the early 1900's that had voices. Now my grandparents were very down to earth and no nonsense folks. The voices just up and started one day after they had been living in the house a few months. Mama thought it was somebody coming to buy eggs at first and went to look out the window. When she didn't see anybody, she got her gun and searched the house. It sounded like two people talking, then having an arguement, then one of them started to moan and groan. Mama grabbed my uncle (still a babe in arms) and took off for the neighbors'. Papa came home for lunch (he was a mailman) and while eating, he heard it. He searched too, thinking that somebody had come in and hit Mama over the head or something. They never found the source and they lived there for some years after. The voices would not happen for company, only for someone who lived there. Papa's brother made fun of them about it and then he came to stay with them for a while. After some months, one night, he heard it. He made record time coming down the staircase!

Now, that story is the basis of my belief that there is a lot that is true that we cannot really understand. It just is.

I knew I liked you...

I 'know' that there are things that are unknowable...

This house, one up the hill and my Sisters place all have things that can not be explained away by 'science' or by just saying that the people are touched...

Instances are too numerous to write here and from people that are just too credible...Suffice it to say that some of them have made my hair stand on end, and that is some feet with the hair I have...

;-)

Dan, I don't know how to make the picture come up in the followup but if you'll look in the photo gallery I put a picture of MY ANGEL!!! Look in the mirror of the vanity!! It still gives my goosebumps...In a good way!! I had miscarried a baby when I was 6 months pregnant with my first child. 20 years later this shows up in a digital picture that I took of a gift Lou had made for me!! I have always been an angel NUTT anyway...Yes I believe!!! Also, this ANGEL looks a lot like my living children who are 18, 16, 12. I have nothing at my beside that could be mistaken for MY ANGEL. I know that cameras and mirrors can create illusions but this is TOO REAL!!!!! REDD

I saw Bigfoot one time at our Wal-Mart. That is a pretty awesome truck. They wouldn't let me drive it though.

Nope, never saw a UFO or Bigfoot or the tooth fairy. I don't believe in them either.
I also don't believe in magic, witchcraft, hocus-pocus, the evil-eye or miracle cures by preachers on TV.
I guess I'm a skeptic.

I saw a ghost once as a child. I was probably thirteen or so and had just moved into my brother's old room when he went into the service.

It was the middle of the night and I was exhausted from moving things around and geting the room like I wanted it. I was asleep, dressed, on top of the covers, when I awoke to the sound of boots going across the wood floor.

I cracked open one eye and I saw a man pass across the foot of my bed, he wore a stetson type hat and marlboro coat. His face was in the shadow of the brim of the hat, but as he passed he turned his head towards me as though he saw me lying there. The sound of his footsteps had a strange distant quality to them and it seemed that the sound of the footfall came before the foot actually hit the floor, like a badly sound dubbed movie.

I remember being accutley aware of the fact that I was on top of the covers and had nothing to hide under. He passed on by and then faded abruptly into the wall. I never saw him again, or slept though his visits after that, who knows.
