Just came back from my dad's home, which will be soon my new home.
Like I told you before, I inherited[?] the orchids; My mom died last July.
She has had orchids since I can remember.
My dad built a nursery for her many years ago, with benches and all kind of resourses to care for the orquids and all the other plants, which I don't know how many there are yet, inherited them also.
I've had plants of all kinds almost all my life,
not orchids, though.
Ok, I'm not an expert with them, I even had orchids myself but only as a hobby.
Knew the names of only those few I had.
But far I counted 58 'plants', and as I see it, this is just one third of them.
I need to identify most of them also.
During this year my dad have had time to only water them.
So they have grown weed and who knows what...
Also tons of new growth.
This means I need to plant the new ones, each, in a new pot.
All the material is there. And I have all my mom's books also.
My dad said I'm doing good so far..
I think you can see that I'm all exited about this new venture.
This are very expensive plants. And here in PR you can make a good business out of them, because although we have just the right weather for them not everybody dare to care for them.
I need to build new benches and another nursery.
Have to make a plan project also.
And of course meet the right people and read, read and then , read some more.

Can you sense I'm all exited about my newfound orchids??!!:-)

Does anyone here grows orchids or know someone who does?

Take Care

PS: we are watching closely another storm comming from the east.

..what I'm afraid would get me to work tripple.
We'll need to get all the plants to safety, not to mention all the damage to everything else.
Very old people living on their own is what worries me the most.

Anyway, is not too hot here today, 88.

Keep Kool Ladyhawk
