I'm sure some of you have heard the uproar about the new "reality show" that one of the networks is trying to produce. It's a reality show where they take some country folks and transplant them in the big city. It's an updated version of the Beverly Hillbillies. Some of the rural state representitives are saying this is awful and an insult to country folks. I say put it on !! I'd watch it (even though I don't watch or care for any of the other reality shows since I don't find them entertaining one bit) But, I'm from the country and I would watch that one. We all know who the joke would really be on. I liked the show they had on PBS where they took city folk and put them in the country wilderness with no modern ammenities for 6 months and they survived and believe it or not one guy who had groundskeepers and such actually started mowing his own lawn by himself when he returned to "civilization" just because he enjoyed it. That show was a riot!

Het, if these "hillbillies" don't find it embarrassing or considerate an insult, then the rural state reps shouldn't worry about!! Truth is; they consider it, us, or them ("hicks") an embarrassement and are probably the ones doing the insulting!! Boy those city slikkers gots lots ta lern. Lol Redd

I read that they want to pay some poor family $500,000 to live in a big house in Beverly Hills for a year while they tape what goes on.
I wouldn't want to do it, and I wouldn't watch it, but if somebody doesn't mind having cameras follow them around and wants to collect the half mil, I'd say go for it.
