Hey lady, you are still in the fringe of the bay area. But, it has to be nice to drive into Sac when you want to. With the shortcut to 5 going through Winters, I got to know that is a busy place. If you can't hear the cars at night, you are fine. After living in the south bay area for 30 years, most anyplace could be called solitude At least, that is how I feel

Current home is western KY, but from Missouri in my younger days. My sis and family live in Ste. Genevieve and neice attends Missou. I've settled here in KY because I found more woods to hide in.

Wow!! I grew up in Ste Genevieve!!! Actually I grew up in Bloomsdale but in Ste Gen. County and of course I went to school in Ste Gen. I moved away in early '80's,and came back in the early '90's. I lived there for about 7 years and decided it was'nt home like before. I now live only 15 minutes away in Perryville..Small world huh?? Redd

It sure is a small world. My sis goes to church in Bloomsdale and actually lives across the interstate in Lake Forest. All her kids went to school in Ste. Gen. My bro-in-law family is all from Perryville. Nice little town that is. I'm from farther on down the interstate from Cape Gir.

Annie,Would that be Lebanon Baptist Church? My Grandmother used to take there when I was a very little girl and then as I got older started going to church camp with that church up into my teens when we moved to Mississippi. Even now if we take the old highway (61) to Festus and we pass by that church it brings so many sweet memories of my Grandma. Lake Forest is a really nice place. Much much better than Rocky ridge which isn't kept up as nice.!! Wow this is kinda neat!! LOL REDD

It is the Catholic church there, can't remember the name, you can see it from the interstate in Bloomsdale. I wanted to go see Rocky Ridge before when we were looking for a place to buy, but I didn't make it there. I'm still going to stop by there and look around next time I'm up at my sister's place.

Oh My Gosh!!! So weird!!! I was telling my SIL about my new found cyber friends...I didn't know I was shopping with them!! "Hey..., were you that guy who..." LOL You said ya'll went to St. Mary alot, if you go down 61 from P'ville you pass right by our house. St. Mary for feed supply or "waterin' supply. Only 2 reasons I know anyone could possibly drive "to" St. Mary on purpose..LOL Feed or stoppin' at the local waterin' hole (Baders) cuz you're thirsty LOL REDDEE

It's the antique mall that draws us to St. Marys.
By the time we get through about 3/4's of it, we are wore out. Then we head over to the Ponderosa at Perryville for supper and then home.

Rain? c'mon over here to central PA. I'll send you home with all you want. Friday got 2 1/2 inches yesterday got 3 inches, and today we got 1/2 inch so far but it's only 10:30 AM
The corn is laying flat, the trees are down, and 55,000 homes are without power, the 24 sqirrels that are on running the treadmill to power this 'puter are getting sore from my mule skinner's whip, and starting to turn ugly, I think I see a squirrel stampede coming my way and need to go saddle up our minpin to be ready to head them off at the pass.
OK!! everything after the 55,000 homes without power is mebbe a little stretched, but we're sure glad we still have power here.

Ron/PA    Posted 07-22-2003 at 08:49:57       [Reply]  [No Email]
