Apple trees: wrong varieties

I just found another apple tree of mine that is a different variety from what it was sold as. Problem is that you don't find this out for a couple of years. This tree came from Walmart and was supposed to be a MacIntosh, but it clearly isn't. Appears to be a golden delicious...I like them, but I really wanted a Mac.

This seems to happen more often than it should, and more in the past few years than it did when I was first starting out.

how about that fig tree i planted three years ago, only to find out this year, its a peach tree.

That's why I don't buy roses from Walmart unless there is at least one bloom open so I can see it's the color that the tag says it is. I bought some one time from them the tag said they were supposed to be scarlet red roses. Yellowest things I ever grew. lol Don't know that they would do anything but you might call them and tell them what happened.
