Well California is in the making of History. Our lack of Governor Davis is being recalled. First time since the world war. I am very excited. He is a liar, cheat, and misrepresented the people of this state. Under him we have become the state out of 50 with the worst economy. No one however that may go on the ballet has a platform. Except for one that may run as an independent and that is Micheal Savage. He is a right winger that knows what this state needs. He has my vote. :)

The recall will cost $50 million (I heard). $10 billion of the budget deficit came from the energy crisis. Probably another $10 billion came from the bust of the telecommunication and the economy. Gray Davis is cutting the state budget by chunks which angered many people from the middle class to the poor. Any politician should point out the solution instead of blaming the past. Otherwise CA could end up with someone worse, if not the silmilar. CA may have the largest state budget deficit, but definitely not the worset economy. It has a big piece of the defense budget. That's why many technical people are still hanging on there in spite of the $250,000 buying a bungalow living conditions.

University of Southern California politics expert Sherry Bebitch Jeffe quotes"It's ironic that almost all states in the world's richest nation are broke, and California, the wealthiest among them, is in the worst shape of all," , that goes with the Economy. In US Today it rank each state. There was Good, Fair, and Poor. California ranked the last state in the Poor. Yes there is a lot of business here especially in the silcon valley, san jose area. Many businesses are and I don't blame them. You can't afford to run a business here you are just taxed to hell. I h ave lived here all my life and I am looking for a new state to live in.

I think the references you refered to is regarding to the state budget deficit. However, I may be wrong. But the fact is that CA is still the place where the high tech jobs are in large numbers. How many states can say that right now?

Mine, too! Course as a convicted felon I can't vote and I don't live in California, either.

as a former resident of there, no demos are going to run against him, he has the labor vote, and the minority vote. If all the repubs can mount against him is Arnold, he won't be dislodged. Part of Ca, problem is in the metro area where the budgets are so high. when I left in 99, rookie cops in my city started out at over $70,000 Firemen in Santa Clara started out at over $62,000. Have a friend that retired from Santa clara city as a painter, he is bringing in $50,000 a year. In almost all of Ca, if you work 10 years for a city and then quit, you have lifetime health coverage ,free. Never did like Davis, he wasn't the brightest star on the tree, but have to think that if the politicans in that state worked together instead of pulling from opposite ends, they wouldn't be in such a mess. Another case for term limits. Surpised Willie Brown don't run, he can spend money better than any of the rest of them, and smile doing it. By the way, sure would like to have a Weinersnitzel chile cheese dog right now

Kinda makes me wonder how he got reelected in the first place. But then, California ain't exactly typical of anything and I got a feeling that you aren't a typical Californian!
But I suppose people everywhere are more than willing to live high on the hog when somebody else is paying for it. Trouble is, those "somebody elses" have evidently wised up and quit paying.

A liar and a cheat? He is most certainly in the proffession that would not draw much attention to his uniqueness.
