Hello,
Can anyone tell me how much oil goes into a 94 Nissan truck with a 4 cyl. motor, w/ a new filter. I put in 5 quarts, and can't see it very well on the dip stick. Looks like it's past the full mark, but my eyes are getting bad, and the oil's so clean it just hard to see. Does this mean I need to finally break down and get glasses?
Thank you.

Sometimes I have that trouble, and I have good eyes! Try laying the dipstick against your hand or on a rag (don't wipe), and lift it. You can compare the oil on your hand or rag to the dipstick markings.

Yes, you will need glasses.

Seriously though, you might try holding it where the light will shine on the dipstick to see where the oil is on it.

Also, it should tell you how many quarts it takes in your Owners Manual. Hang on, someone will know for sure what the answer is. I do know if it is too full, you better let some out. It is worse to have it to full than not full enough. (found that out the hard way with our last mower.) ;)
