4-H Fair results with laundry bluing

Just an update for those who helped me find the laundry bluing to wash our white chickens in before the 4-H fair this past week.

Our chickens sparkled and our children won a First and Second Blue Ribbon and the Flockmanship award for best care of their chickens during the 5 day fair.

4-H is a great experience for kids. I grew up in a large city and didn't have these opportunities that our children do growing up in a country environment.

I always liked the 4H and fair time - liked the girls, carnies, snacks, exhibits, critters, & i still think anybody who can jump on a tractor and back up a pair of 4-wheel trailers in a straight line has quite a few extra folds in his brain. :)

Me, too, DC. I had a truck driver neighbor, he was the best backer upper I ever watched.

Therese, thanks for the report on those sparkling white chickens, thanks to Mrs. Stewart. I am very happy "our" kids did so good!!

Good Job...    Posted 07-27-2003 at 16:46:29       [Reply]  [No Email]
To you and your kids...

Make sure you add this one to the 'Remember when I went on the net and found out about Chickens for ya" file, for future guilt trips and blackmail occasions... ;-)

Takes a special Mom to go to that much effort...And we need more like ya...
