Howdy folks,

Just wanted to share my new pride and joy. My mare gave birth to a beautiful little filly. Of course, had to wait until I bought a "real" digital camera before I could get some good pictures!

Not sure if this link will work.

Take care,
MichelleH

Hmmmm...you guys did see her. I thought I did it wrong because the picture didn't show up. Well, thanks for looking. She is our first baby, and probably the last...LOL My mares pregnancy was worse than mine...not sure if I want to go through that again!

Hopefully, if things go right...I'll have lots of pictures next year. We are getting goats...as soon as I can get a pen built for them.

congratulations on your new baby. Our mare had a wonderful pregnancy. We had her breed at UC Davis with their Jack. He was born march 18, 2003. He was doing great until the 3rd day. He landed up at Davis Med Center ICU. He had a condition that 10 percent of mules babes get. If is nurses from mom for the first 24 hours and gets the moms antibodies it actually will kill them. If we had known this we could have had a test done in the last 3 weeks of her term. We could have prevented the baby of nursing and hand nursed it with collstrum from a different mare. The problem does correct itself within 48 hours. Strange uh? After a few transfusions he is OK and my son named him Lucky!

She is cute, looks like she's got an arrow pointing from her forehead down to her chin.

Well, it didn't work. Now, I need to figure out how to re-size pictures.

Take care,
MichelleH

Hey Michelle, I checked the properties and looked at you pictures. She's a cutie! Try putting one of your pictures on the photo gallery here. Then you can link it or just tell us where to find it.
