..restoring an old family farm, we want to use the old 95 foot well, anyone know about windmills?

mich as in Michigan ?, and if so where .
I did what your talking about I just kept an eye out for what I needed and finally had it all together and put it up , I run it all summer into a horse tank . Theres a guy close to me that works on them and installs them around NE lower Michigan .

If shopping for a used/classic one,make sure all parts are present,oft times they've been stripped for parts after use ended.Should be fan,swivel,tailfin,gearbox,control linkages,brake,pump rod and of course tower.Some parts for classics(Aeromotor etc) are available in NOS or repro.Some had their own pump assy,others connected to common hand pump like an electric "pump jack".You might find a hand pump,pump jack and reduction geared Briggs engine would serve your purposes with less trouble and expense.
