I saw a thing about making better use of time and it got me thinking - i used to enforce the kids' response by reminding them that if i had to wake them up (or whatever) twice, they just doubled my work load - and naturally it really ticks me off when people do that!! They turned out pretty good in spite of all my interference --
Well maybe it's time to toss out the calendar and start again doing it right this time: no more leap years, no zeroes since they're virtually worthless, stuff like that. Since there's such a profound change in everyone then (The week's stresses disappear, sun comes out, flowers bloom, i feel younger again), how about using BB and AB (before and after beer)?

I am firmly convinced that the best thing we can teach kids is the theory of 'economic movement'.

That's just a fancy way of saying, 'if you're on your way to the kitchen, take that glass and that empty soda can with you'. If you're headed to the back of the house anyway, take your shows when you go. Before you move, look around you and see what you can accomplish secondarily when you go. There are no wasted trips. I'll let you know if they ever actually learn it. But it saves me tons of time. So if you're going to the kitchen for another beer, take that empty with you. :)
