Hee hee hee! All shiny and clean and optimistic, and so ready to go back to school. Course that will all change by tomorrow, but they have to go anyway...hee hee hee!

Mine is in the year round. But its not really, its the same amount of days, they just started on the Fourth of August, but they get a week out i September and February other districts don't. I like it, cause we go to Florida inSeptember, when all the others ar in school! :)

WOW are they in all around school or does you school just start early? We start the first week of Sept. and get out the 2nd week of June.

Good grief, I can't believe you people down south start school this time of year.

Oh, by the way, they had a full summer, they just got out earlier....sometime in May....

Ya know Les.....all my life I heard about how the schools never close during snow storms in the north. I was in Milford Mass late October or early November when the first snow of the season hit, dumping a whooping 4 inches. When I turned on the TV to catch the morning news, the first thing I heard was "The following schools will be closed".

I realized it was just another yankee tale......

Kids don't have to work in the fields like past generations so there is really no reason not to start school early.

Working moms can't stay home and day care is so expensive. Are you suprised that our liberal government wants to brain wash them all year long?

Takes awhile to teach them animals have rights, hunting is bad, the poles are melting caused by global warming, all guns are bad, and homo$exual behavior is ok......

People are so worried about liability these days that they'll call off school on a rumor of a storm in some places.
BTW, Massivetaxes is a southern state.

Don't ever try to make any sense out of the way things are done down here. I've lived here sixteen years and I still don't get it.

Bill in TN    Posted 08-07-2003 at 06:40:44       [Reply]  [No Email]
We refer to Mass as "the peoples republic of" down here. And trust me on this, it is up north! Course, I remember my Daddy telling me,"son, were going up north, way up north, were going to Nashville".

Bill in TN    Posted 08-07-2003 at 06:53:26       [Reply]  [No Email]
Actually Les, the only state up your way that I'd claim as a "southern" state would be New Hampshire. Solidly conservative, predomiantly republican, and no helmet laws. Seems ashame it's up there among the rest of that liberal bunch of Hillary/Kennedy supporters.....Oh well, who said you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear? By the way, speaking of Hillary, figured out what a carpet bagger is yet?

I AM NOT A HILARY SUPPORTER

so there....Florida was just a ruse to keep the people from noticing Hilary's election scam. Only ever met one person who claimed to have voted for her and of course he was a lawyer (sorry to lump you all together Salmoneye, you know your the exception)
