We're gonna freeze a whole boat load of sweet corn this weekend, and Donna came home with a new fangled vacuum sealer, to replace the ziplock bags we normally use.
Has anyone ever used one of these puppies? It looks good, but it has an attachment to seal canning jars, and I just can't get this through my head, do you still put a flat lid on?? The instructions never mention one?????

We don't have one, but the butcher who processes our beef vacuum packs the meat and it seems to never get old in the freezer.

We have had a vacuum sealer for about 1 1/2 years. just bag type. They work great, especially for left overs. If you are going to freeze soup or spagetti sauce etc. Freeze it in a tupper ware container first. Then take it out and put it in the bag in a block. If you try and freeze liquid, it sucks it to the seal area and don't work
